I have completed the second black distressed buffet/server. sideboard - It came out great another signature piece from Nerney Dressers.
Welcome to Nerney Dressers. The blog name was created from my son Jeremys' nic-name and a project I did when he was about 2 or 3.

3rd time's a charm
Remember the end table I painted black and had three stars on top. red, white and blue... No? well it does not surprise me I changed it to a Teal Distressed top and painted the top of the painted black coffee table to match, that didn't seem to be getting any interest either so I decided maybe it needs to be lighter. I painted the base a warm cream and dry brushed some on the top and edges. Within 20 minute of posting the revamped coffee/end table I had a solid buyer who came and purchased the set! I had loved the teal dresser and could not wait to finish it. I thought it would be gone in a snap but alas it still sits. I guess I should re- do it too.
On another note I picked up some really great wooden shutters today. the possibilities are swarming, which one to choose? Which one to Choose? - stay tuned.

Roman's Night stand
Roman has been waiting for me to get him a night stand just like his big brothers. I have not found one, but I did find a great piece with good bones and I have used that for the night stand. Roman loves it, I howerver think its too big for his room that he shares with a younger sibling. I can not fit both beds side by side with this inbetween... Back to the drawing board on how to position the furniture in the room.
Here is the night stand before and after.

Table for 10? Ya we got that!
I can't wait until the new chairs come in! We sold our beautiful formal dining room for 8 set to make our own rustic farm table for 10. Scary I know! But is coming along beautifully. I can't wait to stain it and put the new chairs around it. 10 dark espresso brown leather parson chairs. Our challenge has been fitting a family of 9 around a table for 8 and whoa if a friend or two ate over.. now we are ready with 1 spare spot.
Pictures will be coming soon!

Farewell Nerney Dressers
Blog entry June 25 2012
Well this is about a year after I started this blog and it's time to say good bye. It's bitter sweet as I have 4 pieces of furniture ranging from completed to in progress sitting on the curb. It was not worth the hassle of not having a presentable home. I will miss not completing in particular one piece that was nearly done. I hope someone nice picks it up and does someting pretty with it.

Media Console/ Entertainment unit
When I found this gem it was not so pretty, broken hardware, stickers covered the side. My helpers worked to clean off the stickers.
Drawers were falling apart. With a little vision and somehelp from the hubby walla! Here it is!
This former dresser has lots of life left and makes an exceptional Space for a media console. Pictured is a 42 inch TV. Console has been hand painted in a soft cream with a slight Tea glaze.
One drawer to hold all your remotes or Game controllers. The Jewelry of the console is the 4 ANTIQUE VINTAGE GLASS LINCON DRAPE BUTTERSCOTCH KNOBS made in Italy, they are absolutely beautiful.
Don't want to use it for your TV? No problem this versatile cabinet can easily be used in the foyer or any other spot to hold accent pieces photo frames, baskets, blankets or towels.
Local pick up is available
* Items on the console are not for sale, Display purpose only.
