Farm Table is done

It's Finally done. just a few finishing touches like re-attach the chair pad, touch up some paint and it's all good to go!

New Interest

I was not found of going to the mall with my grandmother she always wanted to look in the kitchen gadget section of the store or (Eyes rolling) the dreaded fabric store (remember when a mall had a fabric store?) I was so board tagging along with her looking at all the boring things.  Why couldn't she want to do what I wanted to do...? If only now I could pick her brain  ... (dramatic pause) on anything really.
I took one trip to Michaels and two Trips to JoAnn Fabric and crafts this past weekend. OH HOW FUN. The store is not new around here, only my desire to go into it. I needed to get new fabric to re cover my chairs that go with the re conditioned table I'm working on. So far I've spent a little money on these projects and have not sold a thing (pout face) although I remain optimistic especially when my husband is searching the commercial property rentals for a shop for me.  We have passed up many a free find because we have no place to store it.
I will post pictures soon of the chairs before/ during and after! Along with the table.

Discouraged

I'm about ready to throw  up the white flag. I surrender. I had decided this morning to remove the listing for the black nightstand. It has been since June I've been trying to sell it. I had one offer a few weeks ago for $45.00 I turned it down. I had an offer for 25 I ignored. Today I decided to re-paint it and use it in my sons (soon to be room of his own) room. Then don't you know I get another offer this time for 40.00 I have it listed at 55.00. I could sell it just to accomlish what I set out to do, or as I'd decided to do re-do it and give it to my son.... What to do. I'm going to give it to my son.

Finally some work done

The heat has given us a break and so has the humidity. Finally I was able to put the second coat of paint on the wicker vanity, a coat of primer on the bureau and the second coat of stain on the table. All while my kids were driving the battery operated jeep into the garage (where the table is) driving over my tarp where the wicker vanity and bureau drawers are... Really? Even after I said at least five times to stay off my work area and away from the garage because the table was just done and still wet. 
The picutes are from Sunday when I sanded the table top. The top is going to be stained Cherry and the legs will be painted black.
